How GPA Is Calculated
GPA (Grade Point Average) measures your academic performance by weighting each course grade by its credit hours.
GPA = Σ (Grade Points × Credit Hours) ÷ Σ Credit Hours
Where Grade Points: A = 4.0 · B = 3.0 · C = 2.0 · D = 1.0 · F = 0.0
Note: Some institutions use A+ = 4.3 or weighted GPA systems. This calculator uses the standard 4.0 scale.
